Fall is Here, Time for Foliage!

I successfully avoided blogging for some time, but was informed that I must start the shenanigans again. Since Fall is upon us, it is almost leaf season in the High Country.  It is rumored that this year will be one of longest, most colorful autumns in recent history. Here are some sites that will point you in the direction of spectacular foliage:

High Country Host offers all kinds of  places to look for color updates, and locations to best enjoy the leaves this time of year.

The High Country’s very own ASU Department of Biology also keeps their site updated weekly with leaf-related information, and offers a map to show the best times for color in the different areas of the High Country.

Blue Ridge Mountain Life offers their top 25 picks to get out and experience the mountains’ most stunning of seasons:

If you feel like getting out for the day, Only in Your State  has mapped out a full fall foliage road trip, which will take around 6 hours:
