Finding Reasons to Celebrate
It can be easy to get trapped in a place of feeling like there’s nothing exciting going on, but a small break from your daily routine could be just the thing to perk you back up! Did you know there is a holiday for almost everything? I’m not kidding. Cheese Day? Yep. Punctuation Day? Of course. Butterscotch Pudding Day? You betcha! Of course, the majority of these holidays are unofficial, but they do provide us with the small joy of celebrating things we wouldn’t otherwise think about.
Paying attention to little known holidays is a wonderful way to expand your horizon, and maybe even learn a new skill that you didn’t know you were interested in. Ever wondered about building a scarecrow? Don’t worry, there’s a day for that (July 1st). The beauty of an unofficial holiday is the lack of expectation as to how you choose to celebrate. Throw a party with all of your friends or just eat an extra piece of cheese – whatever tickles your fancy! Check out the list below for some celebration inspiration
