Seven Devils is located about 30 minutes from Boone in Watauga and Avery Counties. This resort town is said to have gotten its name from Native Americans who said the sound of the wind coming across the hills sounded like seven devils screaming. Hawksnest Snowtubing and Zipline provides ski free family fun in the winter time. Ride down the mountain on a snow tube or zipline above frozen lakes and streams in the snowy treetops. With 20 ziplines the options are endless at Hawksnest.
