Fleetwood is an unincorporated community located in Ashe County.  It is conveniently located about 15 miles from Boone and 10 miles from Jefferson and West Jefferson. Residents of Fleetwood have access to the New River for tubing, fly fishing and kayaking.  Railroad Grade Road runs adjacent to the New River and allows for 10 miles of relatively flat road biking.
